These projects are funded through grants from the U.S. Department of Education and have a mission of bringing college access and academic counseling services to potential first-generation and low-income college students at Thomas Jefferson, W. H. Adamson, Moises E. Molina, L. G. Pinkston, and Sunset High Schools.

PUENTES!

Pathways to Uplift and Empower through Novel Technology and Education Services

 

The PUENTES program targets Latino families, specifically those that have language and cultural barriers that present an obstacle to understanding technology and how to utilize its benefits.

 

The purpose of this program is to cultivate a learning environment for both parents and children of disadvantaged households through skills, resources, and tools needed for digital literacy. The COVID19 pandemic has exacerbated the need for this training, as more services are moving into a virtual setting
