Application Description

After you complete the Interest Form, expect an e-mail within 1-2 business days from RRomero@LNESC.org confirming your eligibility of program services along with an application and further instructions.

Student Section:*

This portion of the application asks for:

  • Demographic Information

    • Name, D.O.B., etc.​

  • Short free-response questions

    • College and career plans​

    • Extracurricular activities

  • Teacher Recommendations

    • Up to 3 ​references

  • Short personal story

    • 250 words or more​

  • Release of Academic Records

Parent Section:*

This portion of the application describes our program services as well as student and parent expectations. It also asks for:

  • Parent Contact Information

  • Educational Attainment

  • Household Information

Digital signatures are required by student and parent upon submission of the application.

Applications are due October 31, 2024

* The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), 20 U.S.C. 1232g, and the Texas Public Information Act, Texas Government Code 552.001 et seq., are respectively federal and state laws providing for the review and disclosure of student education records. The LULAC National Educational Service Centers Inc. (LNESC) will not permit access to or the release of personally identifiable information contained in student educational records to any party without the written consent of the student, except as authorized by FERPA.

Intake Process

Interview

After you have submitted a complete application, you and your parent will be invited to speak with your assigned Program Advisor. This meeting will allow us to gauge how we can best serve you and answer any questions you may have. 

Depending on which campus you are enrolled in, you will receive an invite to schedule a meeting with the program advisor of Thomas Jefferson HS, W. H. Adamson HS, Moises E. Molina HS, L.G. Pinkston HS or Sunset HS

Supplemental Documents

After the previous steps are complete, the program will need documents to verify your eligibility and to help us better serve you. These documents are, but not limited to:

  • Proof of Income

    • Usually in the form of Parents Tax return​

  • Proof of Citizenship or Permanent Residency ​​

  • Immunization Records
