Overview:
The Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship Program is intended to assist and encourage high school seniors from the North Texas, Houston, and San Antonio areas to pursue a degree at U.S. post-secondary institutions. The Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship Program is sponsored by Ford Motor Company Fund and administered by the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC).
Mission
Every student should have the opportunity to dream big. Ford Driving Dreams helps make that a reality. Ford Motor Company Fund is dedicated to helping students Go Further both in and out of the classroom. Since 2012, Ford Driving Dreams (FDD) has equipped more than 200,000 students across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Latin America, and Europe with tools to help fuel their academic and career journeys.
Program Description
The Ford Driving Dreams Scholarship Program in North Texas awards $2,000 scholarships to over 250 qualified high school seniors. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent, and students must have scored 20 or higher on the ACT test, or 1050 or higher on the SAT, and plan to enroll full-time in an accredited college or university. As a Ford Motor Company Fund signature education initiative, this partnership between LNESC, the Ford Fund, and the North Texas Ford dealers, is committed to making people’s lives better by empowering students of all ages to achieve success.
